Owner Carol Noonan performs in and puts on performances for a living here at Stone Mountain. One of the reasons people travel from all over to come to this little humble spot on the hill is because Carol has a unique talent for presenting a very special event in a very special way. She will make sure that your wedding looks beautiful and feels beautiful....from the music to the flowers. She has been a florist, a chef, a waitress, a bartender, and for over a decade, she is a national recording artist and renown singer songwriter and of course most recently a concert producer. Isn't that just what you need? Forget those wedding planners! Carol Noonan knows how to make stars like the Indigo Girls, Judy Collins, John Hiatt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and the Neville Brothers happy.....your special day is a piece of wedding cake!

Multiple use of our two barns for ceremony and reception including
use of tables and chairs, linens, vases, etc.
Use of stage for ceremony
3 Large Floral Arrangements, and table centerpieces by our in house florist Jackie Gardner (Read about her below!) Flowers are limited to the usual. Special orders such as cala lily etc, would be an extra charge.   
Use of grand piano
Staff and gratuity
Horse and Buggy...Donna the Wonder Horse and her owner Tim will make your day special with photos, opps, and country rides dyuing the reception. (if it rains, will deduct 300.00 from your package)
one hour open bar with hot and cold appetizers
Dinner served buffet or family style
Champagne toast
Wedding Cake ... a two tiered cake for bride and groom and cupcakes for your guests, all prepared by Vintage Baking Company in North Conway.
Decorating within reason ...
we will not plant perennials to match your dress, but we will be glad to decorate the room with your special touches and ours!

Stone Mountain Arts Center Sound System...
Our sound systems are our liveliehood as a music venue. For that reason, they have to be paid for additionally to use no matter what package you are choosing. Both barns will accomdate any DJ's needs.

Use of our sound system is 400.00

To avoid the sound system charge, DJs or bands are welcome to bring in their own systems. Please keep in mind that our system sounds best in our rooms, so make sure if you understandably decide to save some of your hard earned money, that your DJ has adequate systems. Bad sound can ruin your wedding.

If you pay the sound system charge, make sure you let your DJ know that they do not have to bring in a sound sytem. They may charge you accordingly.

A Few SMAC Facts:

The Food:

We refer to our food as Gourmet Comfort Food.....if you want popovers and Wellington, we are probably not the place for you....but if you want some simple, fun, yummy, really pretty, fresh food we are really good at that. We are all about color and taste...we will not stand a crustacean on a plate to look back at you. But the platter of food that comes out will definitley make you smile. The entrees are usually fish or chicken or a fish and a pork. Expensive seafood or meats would be an addtional charge...But let's talk.....nothing is writtten in stone. Please contact us for our menu ideas, and we are always open to yours, but here is a sample of a wedding we just did....

Appetizers:
*Warm Artichoke Dip and Homemade Pita Chips
*Veggie crudite
*Cheese and Fruit with cracker basket
*Maple Glazed Scallops and Bacon with chili sauce....its kinda cliché, but everyone loves’em!   
*Mediterranean Platter Crostinis toasts, hummus, black olives, feta cheese, and roasted peppers

First Course ......Two Fresh Salads and our famous Corn Bread
*Fresh greens, roasted pears, goat cheese, cranberries and glazed pecans
*Fresh greens, and colorful garden veggies.
Both salads served with our house vingairette

Main Course....Two entrees....enough for everyone to try anything!
*Green Goddess Salmon.......Atlantic salmon with fresh green herb sauce served in a bed of baby spinach
*Indian Summer Chicken ...Roasted Chicken breast made with a colorful salsa
featuring local farm corn and tomatoes       
*Red Bliss Potatoes
*Roasted Rainbow Vegetable Platter served room temp with a sprinkle of blush vingairette

We serve dinner in two styles:

Dinner Buffet...Our dinner buffets are very pretty and colorful with homemade pottery and we try to avoid the stainless steel chafing dish look... Not that there is anything wrong with that, but we like to serve up big lusty platters of food, and make the table really beautiful.

Family Style...though we cannot accommodate wedding service by the plate, we can serve family style as an option to the buffet. Big platters of food passed around the table... like in the old country!

Alcohol...

For your open bar our house wines and our beer list will be available.
Top shelf wines for the open bar or the table maybe be added at an extra charge.

Stone Mountain Arts Center is licensed to only serve beer and wine.
No outside liquor may be brought in or leave the premises.
Drinking outside the building or in your vehicles is a no-no. Please keep the party inside.
In other words we want you to have a good time, but not at the cost of your loved ones and our license. All Maine laws still apply.....even in the country, especially in the country. Our country roads are a challenge as it is. It is our strong suggestion that you hire shuttles or arrange for designated drivers so that all of you can enjoy your special day safely. Basically it is your job to inform your guests of our policies, so the day goes off without a hitch......except of course for you gettin' hitched.

 The Flowers.......Our In House Florist.

Jackie Gardner of Moonset Farms is one terrific florist. She also happens to be one of our most lovable and valuable employees, That makes her a unique addition to your wedding planning. She can beat anyone’s prices, and she will be with you when you plan your flowers at the beginning till you take them home at the end of the night. And guys, she will even help you pin that rose on! Not many florists will be with you for the entire wedding process, but as Jackie pours you a glass of champagne, she might just lean down and straighten your boutonniere!

Finances...

Deposit:
There is $1,000. deposit required to reserve the date which will be applied towards your total bill.
Sales Tax... Package prices do not include Maine 7% Sales Tax
Early Bird Special... Prepay the estimated cost of your wedding in full when you book, and receive a 20% discount...WOW!!!...call us for details!
Final Payment:
Balance due for the event, preferably by check or cash, is to be settled at the end of the event.

A note from the Owner......

We are in the Music business, not the wedding business. But if you have been here to a show, you know we are all about ceremony. The Stone Mountain Arts Center is a very special place to have a fun casual wedding. Lots of big stars have graced our stage...now it is your turn!!!

That might sound funny, but I really want this to be a good experience for you. If I sense that we couldn't make you happy, I will not take your hard earned money. Frankly I think you should all elope, save your money and put a down payment on a house.!!!! But I guess if you're reading this, that is already out of the question.
